Our Healthy Families team is dedicated to empowering parents across Somerset County with our Active Parenting evidence-based course. We believe in nurturing strong, resilient families, offering support and guidance to all, including those who are incarcerated. Our program is designed to equip parents with the tools they need to raise healthy, happy children, fostering positive relationships and creating a brighter future for all families in our community.

 

Active Parenting is a comprehensive, evidence-based program that equips parents with the essential skills and strategies to raise healthy, well-adjusted children. The course focuses on positive discipline techniques, effective communication, and building strong family bonds. It emphasizes understanding children's needs at different developmental stages, promoting mutual respect, and encouraging cooperative behavior.

Participants learn how to foster independence, resilience, and self-esteem in their children while managing the challenges of parenting in today's world. The program also includes practical tools for handling common issues such as sibling rivalry, defiance, and school performance.

Active Parenting is adaptable to various family dynamics and cultural backgrounds, making it a valuable resource for all parents. It provides a supportive environment where parents can share experiences, ask questions, and receive guidance tailored to their unique circumstances. By participating in Active Parenting, parents are empowered to create a nurturing home environment that promotes their children's overall well-being and success.
