Buccal Swab Testing
If you've ever had a reaction to a medication or tried a medication that didn't work it's easy to see that all medications do not work the same for everyone. Your genes determine how medications will react for you and when you're on a medication that doesn't work in tandem with your genetics the medicine is more likely not to work properly.
Community Behavioral Health is offering Buccal Swab Testing to help you determine the best medications for you to use.
Currently there is testing available for:
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Attention Deficit Disorder
Folic Acid (folate) Deficiency
Behavioral Health Home (BHH)
A Behavioral Health Home service is available to some patients that may already be served by a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program worker, a therapist and a Psychiatric Prescriber. A Health Home can coordinate appointments, help with smoking cessation, diabetes control and transition care.

Universal Mental Health Screening
This site contains three mental wellness questionnaires designed to screen for various forms of mental illness in adults and children based upon the most up-to-date DSM-V criteria. An individual’s responses to these cross-cutting questionnaires provides practitioners with an abundance of valuable information in relation to the manner in which they are diagnosing and treating mental disorders. With these screening tools now available in an easy-to-access website they may be used for the diagnosis of mental disorders by mental health clinics and independent practitioners around the globe.
Conners’ Continuous Performance Test II (CPT II)
The Conners’ Continuous Performance Test II evaluates attention problems and treatment usefulness. This is a commonly used instrument by ADHD research and clinical assessments for participants aged 6 or older.
The test is taken at a computer. The participant presses the space bar or clicks the mouse button when a letter other than X shows up onscreen. Letters appear on the screen with different time intervals between each one. Exactly 14 minutes is required for completion.

Community Behavioral Health's Tele-Psych program is Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) compliant and done in collaboration with Gallaudet University. CBH also provides services to Dove Point and the Deaf Independent Living Association (DILA).
